About the role
What you will do
Communications
• Monitor and respond to the church email inbox, so no guest ever goes three days without a reply
• Build and send the weekly E-Bulletin
• Schedule and post to Instagram and Facebook from content we provide (when necessary)
• Field questions from first-time guests and route the ones that need a pastor
Database and records (Rock RMS)
• Enter weekly attendance
• Keep Life Group rosters and serving-team lists current
• Run simple reports when we need to see a number
Sunday logistics support
• Build and send the weekly volunteer schedule, and chase down the gaps
• Keep the supply list stocked and order what's running low
• Prepare and print anything the team needs for Sunday
• Help coordinate the details around special events and serve days
What we are looking for
You don't need prior church-office experience. You do need to be the kind of person who writes things down, notices what's missing, and closes loops without being asked twice.
What we're looking for
• An attending member of Emmaus Church, or someone ready to make Emmaus their church home
• Genuinely organized — comfortable owning a list and working it without supervision
• Self Motivated. Someone who looks for ways to make systems and operations better
• A clear, warm writer; much of this job is writing to people on behalf of the church
• Comfortable learning new software. We use Rock RMS, Google Workspace, Canva, and Planning Center-style tools. We'll train you on anything you haven't used
• Discreet. You'll see prayer requests and pastoral details. That stays confidential
• Lives in Murfreesboro or the surrounding area
