A Family Milestone
Dedicate Your
Child
Child dedication is a chance to stand before your church family and commit --
together -- to raising your child to know and follow Jesus.
A promise, not a performance
What Is Child Dedication?
Child dedication isn't baptism, and it's not something your child does -- it's a
promise you make. Parents stand in front of the church and commit to raising
their child in the faith, and in return, the church commits to walking
alongside your family every step of the way.
What to expect
- Dedications happen during a Sunday morning service a few times a year.
- You and your child will come forward as a family during the service.
- A pastor will pray over your child and your family will make a public commitment.
- There's no cost, and no specific age requirement -- most families dedicate infants or toddlers.
